Here’s a teenage kid who has beaten Kim Kardashian to the internet with stripping off his cloths.
Carter Wilkerson, a 16-year old from Nevada has shaken the history of the number of retweets a post can get on twitter. This kid sent out a plain Tweet which he thought would be a fun joke for his friends.
Wilkerson asked? “Yo, Wendy’s, how many re-Tweets for a year of free chicken nuggets?”
In response, the restaurant’s official Twitter account known for its hilariousness, told Wilkerson he needed 18 million retweets.
Wilkerson replied; “Consider it done”. This was prior to telling his followers: “HELP ME PLEASE. A MAN NEEDS HIS NUGGS.”
His Tweet was picked up by one person and it started spreading like wild fire.
Wilkerson’s message got over 3.43 million retweets and Wendy granted him the request to get his free one year nuggets supply. The retweets probably have fallen short of the 18 million retweets, but it lies as the most retweeted message of all time
Kurt Kane, the chief concept/marketing officer for the Wendy’s company told Carter Wilkerson; “You’ve more than earned our respect … and the nuggets.”
