Trisha Yearwood is a popular country music artist and an award wining music personality who also is popularly known for such hits as ‘She’s in Love with a Boy’ and also the ‘I’m Still Alive.’
The singer, Trisha Yearwood came into this world on September 19, 1964, in the city of Monticello, Georgia. She was born into the family of Gwen, a teacher, and Jack, a banker. She was however,brought up in a small farming community. Trisha excelled and did well in school and subsequently developed the love for country music, and took to it. She originally was influenced by the classic country sound of Hank Williams and Patsy Cline. Trisha Yearwood soon developed a likeness for Southern rock bands such as the Allman Brothers and the Eagles.
The musician attended a two-year junior college in 1982, after graduating from Piedmont Academy, and it was closely followed by a semester at the University of Georgia. Though very upset and unhappy with campus life, Trisha transferred to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America. As the young Trisha was working towards a degree in business administration, she also interned as a receptionist for the popular MTM Records. As soon as she graduated from university in 1987, Trisha got hired as a full-time employee of MTM Records. She also was blessed that same year as she got married to her heartthrob husband-musician Chris Latham.
Trisha Yearwood released her self-titled debut album, which sold 2 million copies,in the 1991 and she became the first female/lady country singer to sell a million copies of her first music album. Later in 1991 she was named as the Top New Female Vocalist by no other people than the Academy of Country Music. She has followed this effort with several and numerous award-winning releases, earning Grammys and other accolades along the way. Trisha is a successful cookbook author and television personality. She has hosted Trisha’s Southern Kitchen since 2012.
